Diane Parks is a nurse practitioner, has achieved extensive experience in health care for over 30 years.  While being a strong patient advocate, she has continually undergone advanced training to complement and expand her practice beyond the confines of traditional medicine.   While working for many years in an ob/gyn office, she became acutely aware of the importance of sexual dysfunction as a major concern for many women and their partners, and recognized the discomfort most gynecologists had in dealing with these issues due in a large part to the limited amount of expertise garnered through their training programs.  Sexual wellness was not a priority and therefore not emphasized as an important adjunct of gynecological education in most schools. something taught in most medical or nursing schools, she the limited amount of expertise returned to school to become certified in sexual counseling.

Additionally, Diane is determined to offer the most cutting edged, yet well researched treatment modalities to prevent illness, optimize wellness by reversing or reducing chronic illness, and fight the aging process!  She completed a two-year program through the prestigious Institute of Functional Medicine and is now a certified functional medicine practitioner. This organization is responsible for bringing to the Cleveland Clinic a new functional medicine division recognizing the tremendous importance of this new way of thinking about health care.   Finally, as lifelong learning is a passion she recently has trained with Dr. Dale Bredesen on his protocol for reversing cognitive decline. He is a well-respected physician and scientist as well as the head of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging.  Since Alzheimer’s and cognitive dysfunction are probably the number one concerns for so many people, this is an especially relevant component of her practice.   In addition to the above areas of practice, Diane also has extensive experience in bioidentical hormone therapy, including sex hormones, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, GI health, biotoxin or mold illness and neurotransmitter testing for mood disorders.
